Onboarding Checklist
Our onboarding process is designed to support you through your first weeks and months at TDR. Please let us know if there is anything we have not covered by talking to your supervisor.
Employment Letter of Offer, Tax and Superannuation
- You will have received your letter of offer and superannuation forms by email. Please ensure that you have received these important documents, completed and returned them to your immediate supervisor within 7 days.
- Your Tax File Number declaration form must be completed by hand and also returned to your immediate supervisor. If you have not completed these prior to commencing your employment, please be sure to do so within 7 days of your commencement date.
Position Description
- Your Position Description will also be provided to you by email. Please get in touch with us if you have not yet received yours.
Office Keys
- There is a secure lock box located at the TDR premises. If you need to access keys, you will be provided with the code.
Company Vehicle
- Weekly Car Washing
Each week, please wash the outside of your company car and clean out the inside, including vacuuming if required.
- Monthly Maintenance Inspection
On the first business day of each month, please conduct a thorough maintenance inspection, including checking your tyres, and fill out the Monthly Maintenance Inspection form (Resources). Servicing and repairs are scheduled based on your vehicle’s:
- Odometer reading
- Maintenance items listed
- Upon receipt of your Maintenance Inspection form, TDR will contact you to advise when your vehicle is required for servicing and arrange a replacement vehicle for that day.
- Fuel Card
A fuel card will be issued for you to use to refuel your TDR vehicle. If you lose your fuel card, please let us know immediately. This fuel card remains the property of TDR. Please return to your supervisor at the end of your tenure.
- Insurance
Yearly insurance documents will be sent to all drivers for their signature. All driving history must be disclosed in these documents for your insurance to be valid.
- Personal Use
Personal use of your company vehicle is allowed within reason. Please ask permission before taking trips over 100 km, or for any travel that involves crossing state borders. It is your responsibility to cover fuel costs and tolls for these trips.
Tools and Equipment
- You will be provided with all the specialist tools you need to perform your duties. These tools and equipment items are valuable and it is your responsibility to take good care of them. If any tools or equipment are damaged or broken as a result of neglect or misuse, we may require you to cover the cost of repair or replacement.
Leave Requests
- Annual Leave
Please make your annual leave requests in Xero (if you have not yet been shown how to do this, speak to your immediate supervisor). Then please block this time out in your TDR calendar and include “Awaiting Approval” in the name.
- Sick/Carers Leave
Contact your immediate supervisor by phone if you or a family member are sick and you cannot come to work. For extended absences, a medical certificate will be required.

Training and Support
- For any concerns, questions, feedback or request for training, please talk to your direct supervisor at any time.
- We are in the process of formalising monthly or three monthly catch-ups with the team to build a regular check-in process to our company structure. Details will follow shortly.
- If you have brought a concern to your supervisor and do not feel the matter is resolved, you can contact Fair Work through their website: https://www.fairwork.gov.au/
- If you experience anything that contravenes the WH&S act (e.g. discrimination of any kind) please speak to your direct supervisor or general manager immediately.
